Telstra launches Big Pond Ultimate USB
Service previously only available to corporate and SME users
Telstra announced the release of its Big Pond Ultimate USB, which has been made available to consumers. The service provides users with very fast speeds for surfing the Internet and downloading files.
The solution, which previously only available to corporate and SME users, is said to be twice as fast as the company's fastest Next G modem. The service also offers coverage around business districts in Australian capital cities, metropolitan hubs, associated airports and over 100 regional centers.
Telstra's BigPond Ultimate USB Modem offers download speeds ranging from 1.1Mbps to 20Mbps. The BigPond Ultimate USB Modem is available with a range of Post-paid mobile broadband plans for $0 upfront with a 24-month subscription contract.
In addition, the company will offer more value to subscribers of its high-end BigPond Mobile Liberty plans. Customers of the scheme will be provided an additional 1GB to its 6GB plan for $59.95 ($20 less per month. Also, an extra 2GB will be added to the 10GB offer for $89.95 ($30 less per month.)
