Philadelphia-based startup Stream TV is launching its Android-based tablet computer with Amazon.com accepting pre-orders starting on Wednesday.

Shipping of the device called eLocity A7 starts on Nov. 1.

The A7 runs on an Nvidia Tegra 2 chip, has a 7-inch screen and wireless keyboard, weighs a little over a pound, and costs $399.

The 8.2x4.8x0.5-inch device has a 1.3-megapixel camera, a microphone, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB 2.0 jack, a Micro SD slot, a docking port, and a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) port.

The A7 is also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability and can be connected to an HDTV. Apps for the device can be downloaded at GetJar.

Stream TV is planning to make later models 3G capable.
