Steam sale: Humble Hope for Orphans Bundle contains games worth US$247

Humble Bundle has partnered with game developer Tripwire Interactive to bring the Humble Hope for Orphans Bundle. The lineup of games can be bought for as low as a dollar, with proceeds supporting Change30, a charity that helps “provide care, life skills coaching, and housing and education resources to young people who have been left without support systems.”

Curiously, the bundle includes mostly shooters and first-person games that are normally worth US$247 (AU$316.22). Below are some of the titles and their respective tiers.

‘Killing Floor’

Carrying a staggering Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam, “Killing Floor” is a co-op survival horror shooter. You and your friends play as soldiers tasked with killing horribly mutated clones that were part of an experiment gone wrong. Shoot your way through the ruins of an English countryside, but be wary. With ten different kinds of monsters, there’s bound to be something nasty at every turn.

The game is included in the first tier. It can be unlocked by paying at least US$1 (AU$1.28).

‘King's Bounty: Platinum Edition’

The Platinum Edition includes three games: “King's Bounty: The Legend,” “King's Bounty: Armored Princess” and the latter’s expansion pack Crossworlds. These are tactical turn-based RPGs set in a fantasy world. The set is available in the second tier and will unlock by paying more than the average amount.

‘Rising Storm 2: Vietnam’

Paying more than US$10 (AU$12.80) will unlock “Rising Storm 2: Vietnam,” a tactical action game that can be played by up to 64 players at once. It’s American soldiers versus the Vietnamese, and choosing one side will allow you to use a skill unique only to them.
