Steam sale: Choose your price for the Humble Classics Return Bundle

Humble Bundle is currently offering the Humble Classics Return Bundle, which, as the name implies, pays tribute to classic games from the past. The titles in the bundle can be sequels or spiritual successors, as you’ll later see in the list.

Below are some of the games included. Outside the bundle, they collectively cost US$234 (around AU$297), but here, you decide on the price. The games are Steam-ready and DRM-free, and best of all, the money goes to the charity of your choice.

‘Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse’

Surely every PC gamer old enough knows Broken Sword. These point-and-click games have revolutionized the genre to such an extent that the franchise has gained a massive following. The fifth game in the series, “The Serpent's Curse” retains that beloved animated feel that wasn’t entirely present in the third and fourth instalments. George and Nico are back to solve a mystery, this time involving a stolen painting. But in typical Broken Sword fashion, there’s more to the case than meets the eye.

The version of this game contains both released episodes. It can be unlocked by paying any amount that you want.

‘Age of Wonders III’

The Age of Wonders series is about to turn 20 years old. Now you can celebrate the genre-defining turn-based strategy classic by playing this third instalment. Building an empire has never been this immersive. You start by choosing one out of six leader types. The rest is up to you: expand your territory, wage wars, or partner up with allies. Possibilities are endless.

The game is included in the second tier along with three other titles. It can be unlocked by paying more than the average amount.

‘Torment: Tides of Numenera’

This game is considered a “thematic successor” to “Planescape: Torment,” the critically acclaimed RPG released in 1999. “Torment: Tides of Numenera” retains the isometric goodness of its predecessor. This time, it offers a brand new larger-than-life story that tackles themes of death and immortality. This game can be unlocked by paying US$15 (AU$19.06) or more.
