According to Making Star Wars, a young Luke Skywalker may be featured in a flashback scene in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” especially with the casting of Robert Boulter in the film. “Yesterday I discussed a flashback sequence from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Upon further investigation it appears, according to the master character list for the film there is indeed a young Luke Skywalker in the picture, sometimes referred to as The Young Original Warrior,” writer Jason Ward said.

A source reportedly told Jason Ward in April that Robert Boulter is in talks to portray an important character in the film. However, no further details were provided on his rumoured casting. However, recently Ward said he received an anonymous tip from someone saying the actor will be playing as the young Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

According to Star Wars Underworld, Robert Boulter’s flashback scene as the young Luke Skywalker takes place sometime between the events in “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.” His appearance in the J.J. Abrams’ film is said to be very minimal, although it’s believed to be one of the pivotal scenes in the movie. However, like with any other circulated rumours concerning “Star wars: The Force Awakens,” this is another one of those that still warrant confirmation from Disney and Lucasfilm.

Likewise, it’ still uncertain if Robert Boulter was indeed cast in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens. “ However, Jason Ward did say that he’s certain a young Luke Skywalker was listed in the movie’s character list.

If Robert Boulter’s role as the young Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is confirmed, then he will join the other young casts including John Boyega (Finn), Daisy Ridley (Rey) and Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) among others. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is slated for a U.S release on Dec. 18, 2015.
