Released NBA 2K11 lets gamers play against and as ‘Michael Jordan’
NBA video games fans can now play against basketball living legend Michael Jordan in the just released NBA 2K11 video game.
2K Sports announced Tuesday that the top-selling and top-rated NBA video game is now available online and can be played on an Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and 3, PSP and Windows PC. For the Nintendo Wii, NBA 2K11 will be available by mid-October.
NBA 2K11 features the Jordan Challenge, where gamers can relive 10 legendary games of the former Chicago Bulls star and replicate his shooting feats. Players who complete the challenge get to the MJ: Creating a Legend mode and play as a rookie Jordan on any NBA team to start his career.
NBA 2K11 players who achieve score milestones and accomplishments will have a chance to get special pairs of Air Jordan shoes. Up to 40 total classic and new pairs are up for grabs.
Jordan, in a Moneycentral.msn comment, labeled NBA 2K11 as incredible for recreating his greatest moments in sports.
"I'm really impressed with the authenticity of NBA 2K11 - everything from my facial expressions, my moves, my shoes, to my opponents and rivals on the court - and I think gamers will be, too," the site quoted him as saying.
NBA 2K11 still has its old features but on an improved level. The My Player mode starts the quest for NBA stardom through the league's drafting system.
The NBA Today 2.0 reports real NBA scores and player stats while a new IsoMotion dribbling controls gives that real feeling of moving the ball. An enhanced Shot Stick and dynamic shot control let players shoot in new ways.
NBA 2K11 supports the PlayStation Move motion controller on PlayStation 3 system.
