The Baltimore Ravens pulled out a gutsy 16-13 win against the Chicago Bears in Week 11, and head coach John Harbaugh is thankful for his team’s faith in themselves.

Speaking to the media ahead of their Week 12 game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, November 28, Harbaugh was asked regarding a sweatshirt he wore that had the words “Faith Over Fear” on them.

“I would like to think that through the course of our lifetime, events transpire that grow our faith and don't undermine our faith. I'm sure in some cases it does. A friend of mine gave me this sweatshirt at the beginning of the season, and kind of portended some things. He kind of said that. He goes, 'I'm telling you; this is going to be meaningful,’” Harbaugh declared.

Faith has been a running them for the Ravens’ season as they find themselves atop the AFC North division and second in the conference with a record of seven wins and three losses.

They have 15 players on injured reserve, with key contributors Marcus Peters, Ronnie Stanley and their entire running back group being sidelined for the season.

Of their seven wins, the Ravens came back from the jaws of defeat five times, highlighted by Justin Tucker’s record-setting 66-yard field goal against the Detroit Lions in Week 3.

Their three losses were major setbacks for them, especially their one-sided beatdowns at the hands of division rivals Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7 and Miami Dolphins in Week 10.

However, this is a team that has been preaching a team-first, next man up mentality and they proved it by beating the Bears.

Starting quarterback 2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson was sidelined due to an illness and it was up to backup quarterback Tyler Huntley to carry the game.

He played spectacularly well for the Ravens, putting up 219 yards through the air and 40 yards on the ground with one fumble.

After setting up a touchdown run for Devonta Freeman inside the red zone, the undrafted quarterback was caught talking to quarterbacks coach James Urban, essentially thanking him for trusting him.

“Our guys understand what's required. You don't have to say much to them. You just try to hit on some of the main points, and I like to talk about how we're going to play. [When] you believe in a bunch of guys, you want to see them believe in themselves and go be who they are and be them, and our guys do a good job of that,” Harbaugh stated.

The 6-5 Browns, led by Case Keenum and Baker Mayfield, are up next for the Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium.

Ravens fans can bet that their team will keep the faith as they gun for a Super Bowl run.
