In this week's “Mama June: Road to Redemption,” Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon will confront her mom Mama June Shannon after the latter exposed her and her kids to COVID-19.

In a sneak peek at the upcoming episode, Pumpkin engaged in a video call with Mama June to confront the latter about her COVID-19 diagnosis.

During the call, the 22-year-old hurled a few expletives at her 42-year-old mom for telling them that she did not have the virus when she showed up uninvited at Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson’s birthday.

“Right now I feel fine, but I mean you know what,” Mama June told Pumpkin in the clip to pacify her.

But Alana’s legal guardian continued her rant until the teaser jumped to a different scene showing Honey Boo Boo opening up about the situation in a confessional.

“How am I supposed to be like, well, my mama had COVID, and you might have COVID too,” a seemingly angry Alana told the camera while thinking of a way to break the news to her beau Dralin Carswell.

Another scene showed Pumpkin addressing the issue, saying it’s likely for her and the kids to catch the virus after the exposure. “More than likely the kids are gonna get it. It’s just going to play the domino effect,” she said.

Pumpkin and husband Josh Efird, 25, are parents to daughter Ella Grace, 4, and son Bentley Jameson, 1. The couple also recently welcomed their fraternal twin babies. They named the girl Stella Renae and the boy Sylus Ray.

In the previous episode, Pumpkin and Josh threw a simple “Sweet 16” birthday party for Alana at their home. Pumpkin did not invite their mom intentionally, but Mama June surprised them when she showed up with gifts for her youngest daughter.

Everyone freaked out upon Mama June’s arrival. Josh quickly hid in the baby’s room, while Alana gave her mom the cold shoulder.

As for Pumpkin, she tried to be civil but quickly got annoyed when Mama June kept texting her new boyfriend, Justin Stroud. However, the controversial matriarch kept denying that she was dating someone because she did not feel ready to tell her daughters about it yet.

Although the party did not turn out as peaceful and enjoyable as Pumpkin expected, the birthday girl still had a blast when Dralin walked in and gifted her a necklace and some flowers. As previously reported, the former “Honey Boo Boo” star started dating the 20-year-old college student last year.

A few days after the party, Mama June received a notice from producers that she had tested positive for COVID-19, so she might have exposed her family to the virus when she attended Alana’s birthday celebration. The aftermath of the diagnosis will play out this week.

“Mama June: Road to Redemption” airs Fridays at 9 p.m. EDT on We TV.
