Proloque2Go has captured the hearts of the special needs community as the augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device is affordable and user-friendly in supplementing or replacing speech of children with autism, apraxia, and other disabilities.

een device costs only $190, uses Apple's intuitive iOS interface and is portable. Before apps emerged, AAC devices could cost more than $10,000 and is heavy and clunky.

Proloquo2Go is also easy to program to suit the needs and handicap of children with cerebral palsy or even stroke victims and adults with Lou Gehrig's or other progressive degenerative diseases. Parents only tap on picture words to place them on the message window and tap it again so the device will speak. Editing and adding custom words or sentences are done in the same way.

2Go in April 2009 and thousands have downloaded the app since then. Last year, it ranked 60th on the Top Grossing Apps list and No. 4 in the education category.
