Half the filming for “Outlander” season 4 has already been done. Co-executive producer Maril Davis made the announcement online after attending a recent production meeting. The cast and crew, meanwhile, continue to work on the scenes in Scotland.

“We've hit the halfway point in filming!” Davis announced (see below). The cast and crew, though, will not be taking a break after hitting such milestone in the production schedule. “Bring on the next block,” the producer said.

Production is split into different blocks for ease of filming. Each block consists of two episodes. Just like last year, there will be 13 episodes this time around.

Co-executive producer Matthew B. Roberts previously said that the production is going smoothly (see below). With a picture of Craigh na Dun, the producer reminded fans that the plot will be based on Diana Gabaldon’s book “Drums of Autumn.”

Meanwhile, viewers are trying to find ways to pass the time during this Droughtlander. The official Twitter page of the TV series recently shared a picture of a fan who had made a dress based on one of the designs by costume designer Terry Dresbach.

Sam Heughan (Jamie) fans also have something to look forward to. His film “The Spy Who Dumped Me” will be releasing on August 3 in the US. The actor’s other film “When the Starlight Ends” will be out on DVD this march, and a trailer for the film can be seen on YouTube.

The producers are yet to announce an exact release date of “Outlander” season 4. The show is set to premiere sometime later this year.
