American talk show host Oprah Winfrey has been known to be a fan of Apple's iPad tablet. Winfrey, who is known for her generous gifts to audiences of her talk show, gave out iPads to all members of her magazine staff and has spent her time needling through the Apple iTunes app store.

Speaking at the annual American Magazine Conference in Chicago, Winfrey credited her iPad for keeping her abreast with the latest news. Winfrey said that her favorite source is the CNN app and the ABC News app.

She also professed a love for Scrabble. Winfrey said that the game's app "changed her workouts" and that "it keeps my mind off the treadmill.. I can play Scrabble and listen to Bruce Springsteen at the same time."

Winfrey also said that she reads magazines on the device, though her own title is not yet included in her iPad reading list. The O Magazine app has yet to launch. The application is set to be released on November 16.
