North Korea is now on Facebook
In order to make attempts to ramp up propaganda war against South Korea and the United States of America, North Korea added Facebook to one of the sites it will join. This happened last Thursday. The username of the account is "uriminzokkiri". Translated to English, it means "on our own as a nation". This was stated by the official of Communications Standards Commission of South Korea last friday.
The said account was opened only hours when the Twitter account which was just a week old was blocked from being accessed by people from South Korea.
Both a YouTube channel and a Twitter account has been made by North Korea as stated by its government. About 8,500 followers were generated by the Twitter account with the userbname of uriminzok meaning "our nation". It managed to only post 30 tweets that bashed both South Korea and the United States of America. Moreover, the tweets praised the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong II.
The praises of Uriminzok for the North Korean government is illegal information when it comes to South Korea. However, blocking the YouTube channel of North Korea does not seem to be taking place by South Korea but the Facebook account might be blocked if it contains illegal information.
The Facebook account contains information as a male and is looking for networking.
The primary picture of the Facebook account is the picture of the Three Charters for Nationa Reunification Memorial Tower in Pyongyang. It signifies the endeavors of 70 million Korean people who want to unite the country and its people. The wall of the said account had wall posts of people condemning South Korea and the United States saying these countries are warmongers.
Internet is blocked in North Korea but the elite people there are able to surf the web.
