The Dallas Cowboys have signed running back Darren McFadden in the 2015 offseason of the National Football League, or NFL. The deal is reportedly for two years for McFadden, who will help the Cowboys replace DeMarco Murray in the starting line-up. Charean Williams, writer for Fort Worth Star-Telegram, was one of the first reporters who updated the McFadden-Raiders deal on Twitter.

McFadden, who played the last seven seasons with the Raiders, also took to Twitter to thank the Oakland franchise and the fans.

McFadden was the fourth overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft but his numbers in Oakland have been underwhelming for one of the top picks in that draft. His best season came in 2010 when he registered 1,157 rushing yards on 223 carries with seven touchdowns. McFadden also struggled to stay on the field in most of his seasons with the Raiders, except for the last season he has never completed a 16-game regular season in Oakland.

The 27 year old McFadden ran for 534 yards on 155 carries with 2 touchdowns in the 2014 NFL Season. Dallas lost star RB Murray to NFC East rivals Philadelphia Eagles earlier in this NFL offseason. McFadden is expected to draw the start at the running back position for the Cowboys.
