One of Denver Broncos’ top receivers and Peyton Manning’s top targets is leaving the team and is set to join the Jacksonville Jaguars in the latest news in the offseason of the National Football League, or NFL. Veteran tight end Julius Thomas have agreed to sign a deal with the Jaguars to join a new team after playing the last three seasons with Manning in Denver.

Other teams who had shown interest in the tight end were the Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders and the Broncos, who tried to retain Thomas. NFL Insider Ian Rapoport confirmed the deal, which won’t be official until the league season opens on Tuesday.

Another report, from The Denver Post stated that Jaguars will offer Thomas a $9 million a season. Jacksonville is one of the teams with a huge cap space in this offseason with $64 million under the cap.

Thomas, who played college football with Portland State, was the fourth round pick by Denver in the 2011 NFL Draft. He has played for the Broncos in the last three seasons. Thomas was one of the key players in the Broncos’ receiving corps.

Denver, which had 12 wins against 4 losses in the regular season, won the AFC West in 2014 and ranked fourth in average passing yards at 291.3 yards per game. Thomas ranked third in total receiving yards with 489 next to Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. In 2014, he caught 12 touchdown passes to lead the team and in the last two seasons, he has a total of 24 receiving touchdowns.
