Experts have identified a new piece of malware that is able to spread through USB drives due to a weakness in Windows software. The malware was first reported by VirusBlokAda; the antivirus software developer. The malware is said to have the ability to spread through USB sticks.

"You just have to open [an] infected USB storage device using Microsoft Explorer or any other file manager that can display icons, to infect your operating system and allow execution of [the] malware program," the company said in a statement.

The virus is disguised as a device driver, thereby allowing the virus to automatically load. Experts are baffled by the fact that the virus has a legitimate driver signature.
