National Dessert Day is marked annually on Oct. 14 to celebrate the delicacies and indulge in them without being guilty.

The word "dessert" originated from the French word "desservir," which means to clear the table. On this day, indulge in dessert such as chocolates, candy, or pastries, cakes and cupcakes, but don't forget the tarts and pies.
