As manufacturers around the world are striving to make products more eco-friendly and sustainable, French start-up MoonBikes is looking to transform the snow mobility market while maintaining consideration for the environment.

Created out of sheer love for the outdoors, MoonBikes are a completely silent electric snowbike, allowing consumers to embark on adventures without disrupting peaceful landscapes. A more environmentally friendly alternative to snowmobiles, this emission-free vehicle looks to revolutionize the evolution of mountain exploration.

“Like snowmobiling but hate the fumes and noise? There is an electric option,” Gemma Bowes of The Guardian wrote of the product in October. “The Alps’ first fleet of Moonbikes, which are easier and lighter to ride, and have a top speed of 26mph...It’s a quiet yet exciting way to explore the slopes.”

MoonBikes will attend CES, the most influential tech event in the world, which runs Jan. 5-8 in Las Vegas, in an attempt to set foot in the American market.

According to the company’s press release, 400 MoonBikes are being produced for both European and American markets currently with a goal of producing 1,500 snowbikes in 2022.
