Standard paid subscription plan costing $10 per month and professional plans starting at $100 per month will be available at www.webfonts.fonts.com. Subscribers can freely use any number of fonts per subscription level on any number of websites without restriction, according to Monotype Imaging.

There is also a free plan that allows subscribers to download any of 2,200 fonts that Monotype Imaging offered during its Web font service's beta launch.

The font service supports 40 languages using a proprietary technology.

Doug Shaw, president and chief executive officer of Monotype Imaging, said its catalog provides the greatest number of font choices that can meet every typeface publishing need.

Meanwhile, the company said any of the 15,000 participants to the beta launch of its Web font service may continue using the free fonts they downloaded for any website getting 25,000 page views per month.
