Mark Wright denies cheating on Michelle Keegan; calls rumours ‘absolute nonsense’

Former “The Only Way Is Essex” star Mark Wright blasts recent claims that he’s being unfaithful to his wife, “Coronation Street” alum Michelle Keegan.

Reports claimed that there’s trouble in paradise between the couple, after photos surfaced showing Wright cuddling an unknown blonde woman at V Festival. There were even insinuations that the 29-year-old television presenter was kissing his female companion’s neck.

Wright took to Twitter to deny the rumours. “More absolute nonsense from Now magazine today,” he wrote on Aug.30. “This is Jo, an old family friend of 15 years, mother of 3 children and is like an Auntie to me.” He further claimed that the magazine failed to get his side of the issue. “Now magazine made no effort to contact me, check who Jo is in the photos or give me any chance to comment before they published this rubbish.”

This is not the first time that Wright’s name has been dragged in a cheating scandal. The couple, who tied the knot in May 2015, has continuously fended off reports that they are separated. In June, the rumours seemed to have taken a toll on Wright. He posted a quote on his Instagram account that read, “Relationship where people know of us. But know nothing about us.”

Last week, Wright has also grabbed headlines after his friends allegedly beat up “EastEnders” actor Danny Dyer at V Festival. According to eyewitnesses, Dyer was kicked in the head by Wright’s pals. Wright denied any involvement in the brawl, tweeting, “ Seen some stories online today about v festival. I would like to confirm that I personally wasn't involved in any physical confrontation.”

Dyer also aired his sentiments on Twitter, but injected humour on the incident. He posted a photo of men being booted in the head. “The V festival dance,” he wrote. “Wish I’d learnt it before. Can’t wait for next year.”
