There is reportedly no progress in Paul Pogba’s contract situation at Manchester United ahead of the 2022 summer window.

Pogba has less than six months left on his current deal with Manchester United. The French midfielder is yet to decide on his future, reported 90Min.

There have been several rumors regarding Pogba’s future as the player has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for a long time now. He is being linked with quite a few top European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Juventus and Real Madrid.

Earlier this week, it was reported by Spanish publication Marca.com that Pogba had informed Manchester United that he would be joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2022.

Real Madrid are eyeing a French recruitment plan and Pogba is going to be a part of it. Los Blancos signed Eduardo Camavinga from Rennes in the 2021 summer. Now the La Liga leaders are aiming to bring in Camavinga’s France teammates Kylian Mbappe and Pogba to the Spanish capital at the end of the 2021-22 season.

Considering both Mbappe and Pogba have not agreed to an extension with their respective clubs, Real Madrid seem to be in a great position to secure both the talented players on a free transfer in the summer.

At present, Pogba is out of action with a hamstring injury. He has made only 13 appearances for Manchester United, across competitions, and has already missed 14 games.

Earlier, Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick said the club’s current focus is on Pogba’s recovery and not contract.

"I have spoken to Paul. On the day he came back from Dubai, we spoke in person. We also spoke over the phone when he was still in Dubai. Right now, it's about him getting fit again, getting training fit, not to say match fit. I think this will take, as far as I know, another couple of weeks and until then my full focus is on the players who are available and with whom I can play the next upcoming games," Rangnick said in an interview.

Earlier this week, Manchester United defeated Brentford 3-1 in an away league game, which marked their 300th away triumph in the Premier League. The Red Devils were the first-ever side to achieve the feat in the history of the competition.

With 35 points from 21 games, Manchester United are placed seventh in the 2021-22 Premier League table. The Old Trafford side’s next game in the league is a home fixture against West Ham on Saturday.
