In a battle between Pacific Division rivals, the Golden State Warriors (51-16) will host the Los Angeles Lakers (31-36) at the Oracle Arena on Wednesday evening (Thursday AEDT). In the absence of the injured Stephen Curry, the Warriors have lost two back-to-back games against Portland Trail Blazers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Warriors star Kevin Durant has had to carry the additional workload in Curry's absence. Journeyman guard Quinn Cook, who impressed as part of Golden State's G-League team, has been called up to fill in for Curry.

"Without Steph there, Quinn is asked to do a lot. It's definitely a different dynamic when, as opposed to Steph Curry, you have Quinn Cook," Durant said after the Warriors' blowout loss to the Blazers on Monday.

The Lakers, however, have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA, winning eight of their last 10 contests, including the last two encounters against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday and Denver Nuggets on Tuesday. Though there is little chance for the eleventh-seeded Lakers to qualify for the playoffs, Luke Walton's team has put the NBA on notice since the start of 2018.

The Warriors have won seven home games in succession. But they'll be dealing with a hungry Lakers team that has been averaging nearly 120 points per game since the acquisition of Isaiah Thomas from the Cleveland Cavaliers at last month's NBA Trade Deadline.

Thomas, who has scored 20 or more points five times in his 13 games as a Laker, believes he's got his powers back since arriving in Los Angeles, after a mediocre stint with the Cavaliers. "I keep saying the world knows what I bring. I'm trying to move on."

After visiting the Golden State Warriors, the Lakers will return home to host the Miami Heat on Friday (Saturday AEDT) before starting a four-game road trip which includes visits to Indiana, New Orleans, Memphis and Detroit.

Meanwhile, the Warriors will stay at home to host the Sacramento Kings on Friday. Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors live streaming, Lakers vs Warriors live streaming, Lakers live streaming, Warriors live streaming and NBA live streaming info follows.
