New Zealander Stuck on Remote WA Island and Stalked by Crocodile, Rescued

In an incident fit for the survivor series, an adventure seeking New Zealander was stuck in a West Australian island for two weeks, stalked by a six-metre long crocodile, whenever attempted to leave, in his 2.5m long kayak. The distraught tourist was finally rescued, on Saturday, by a local resident of a nearby island who spotted a light on the island.

Plane Crashes into Cows at Indonesian Airport

A jet plane belonging to Lion Air crashed into three cows which had wandered onto the runway at the Jalaluddin airport in Gorontalo, Sulawesi Island. None of the passengers were hurt but the same cannot be said about one of the three cows that faced the full power of the Boeing 737-800 plane that was coming in for landing. The plane skidded off the runway and into the fields. The airport has since been closed.

A plane crashed at La Guardia airport after its landing gear crashed on Monday. Investigators are looking at the possible reasons for the crash.
