‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ Update: Third trailer released [VIDEO]

The most amicable character from the big screen is set to make a comeback with "Kung Fu Panda 3." The third official trailer of “Kung Fu Panda 3,” which was dropped recently, shows Po in its usual chirpy avatar.

The trailer of the third film of the "Kung Fu Panda" series appears to be loaded with surprises and shocks as this DreamWorks Animation flick has brought back Po’s long-lost panda father Li Shan. The audience will see Po’s struggle as he is set to face two adverse threats in this part, including a supernatural enemy named Kai who is set to defeat all the Kung Fu masters and the second one in the disguise of a close friend. Things are bound to take an interesting turn when Po will train a village in his own comic way and will manage to form the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas.

In the trailer, the father-son duo is shown on a mission to meet several other hilarious new panda characters. Po’s adventure ride apparently continues in the third part of “Kung Fu Panda” as well.

Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross and Dustin Hoffman have reprised their role as the voice over artists in this American-Chinese computer-animated action comedy martial arts film. Hans Zimmer too will be back to compose the songs for “Kung Fu Panda 3.”

The newly roped in stars includes Bryan Cranston, who is known for his role as Walter White in Breaking Bad, Rebel Wilson and Academy Award winner JK Simmons. Kung Fu Panda 3 revolves around a script by series writers Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger.

Helmed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni, the flick is set to hit the theatres on Jan. 29, 2016 in the United States.

The first and second parts of Kung Fu Panda franchise were released in 2008 and 2011 respectively. Both the films managed to receive critical acclamation for the script, screenplay and animation and were even nominated for Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. In addition to this, the films also managed to rake in a worldwide collection of $1.3 billion at the box office.
