Internode's video gaming wing, Games.on.net, announced that it has acquired the exclusive rights to host Call of Duty: Black Ops servers in the country.

The announcement puts an end to speculation that GameServers.com will provide for the entire continent (with the possibility of southeast Asia) using just one Sydney data centre.

GameServers software will be set up on Internode infrastructure as part of the deal. The service will make use of existing network to service the country.

When connected to any GameServers.com hosted servers, Internode customers won't be metered as part of the deal. Black Ops servers would also be available for rent from GameServers. The service will be hosted on Internode hardware located in Adelaide and Sydney.

It was revealed earlier this week that GameServers.com acquired exclusive rights to host Black Ops servers. However, the international repercussions of the deal are unclear.
