HTC, the mobile phone maker, announces that its new Wildfire handset will be launched exclusively on Telstra's Next G network. The phone, which boasts of a 3.2-inch touch screen, a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash and the Friend Stream application (the feature collects social networking updates from Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr), is said to "make the signature HTC Sense experience accessible to a younger audience." The phone also has a slew of additional features, which includes software that allows users to recommend apps straight from their phones, as well as a 'Leap' view that helps to find options faster.
Telstra's Executive Director, Mobility Products, Ross Fielding said, "Combining striking looks, some of HTC Desire's best features and an ultra-affordable price tag, the new HTC Wildfire is set to excite.
