'Destiny 2': Best Weapons For Boss DPS

When going up against tough PvE content in “Destiny 2,” players will want to deal the most damage they can to save the whole fireteam a lot of time and frustration, especially when facing bosses in raids and some specific Nightfall strikes.

Reed’s Regret

Alternatively, the One Thousand Voices and the Sleeper Simulant remain top-tier options even without Particle Deconstruction equipped.

Gjallarhorn

The king of all rocket launchers is back as one of the game’s best heavy weapon options. While the Gjallarhorn can deal immense DPS by itself, it shines brightest when supporting a team equipped with Legendary rocket launchers that have anti-boss perks like Vorpal Weapon, Impact Casing and Boss Spec.

A Hothead or Hezen Vengeance with the appropriate mods can out-DPS Gjallarhorn as long as they’re buffed with Wolfpack Rounds. Take this into consideration before diving into the next raid.

Whisper of the Worm

The recent buff to Whisper of the Worm has massively improved its boss-killing potential. It now deals more damage, can pull bullets from thin air, and its catalyst now activates faster, resulting in higher DPS than before.

However, players who don’t own Whisper’s catalyst will have to wait for “Witch Queen” before they can get their hands on it.

The Lament

As far as swords go, the Lament has always been the go-to option for killing bosses and champions. With the proper setup, players can face-tank attacks while dealing ludicrous damage to single targets. This chainsword is great for deleting champions and certain Nightfall bosses, but it does lose much of luster against actual raid bosses.
