On Jan. 12, 2015, YouTube pranksters NelkFilmz published their video "Coke Prank on Cops", a video that has gone viral immediately on social media sites. It shows a group of four men being arrested by LAPD officers due to the latter being tipped off the former trying to sell "coke" on the streets.

The video starts with the four men trying to sell "coke" to random passers-by. They soon film themselves sitting inside an SUV with the use of a camera mounted on the vehicle's dashboard. Police officers arrive on the scene and approach the vehicle. The officers ask the men what they are up to, to which the men respond that they are only hanging out. When they were asked to step out of the car, one of the men suddenly confesses that they are carrying a lot of "coke" in the back of the vehicle.

When the LAPD officers search the car, they found a number of Coca-Cola cans in the back of the vehicle, instead of the cocaine that they were expecting. "Aww these guys are genius," says the male officer.

In a Daily Mail article, LAPD Commander Andrew Smith says, "It is dangerous for the participants involved and a huge waste of a police officer's time." The LAPD would like to remind the public that jokesters could get arrested for such antics.

'Coke Prank on Cops' has been viewed over 1 million times and has gotten over 9,000 thumbs-up to date. Watch the video here.
