Anthony Scott Harrison, a 20-year old from Adelaide, admits to creating a computer virus that can bank accounts all over the world. Harrison, whose creation has caused a worldwide red alert, pleaded guilty to four counts of modifying computer data to cause harm or inconvenience.

In addition, he also pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing or controlling data to commit a serious computer offense and one count of dishonestly manipulating a machine for his own benefit.

The virus was designed to steal banking details and credit card information. Harrison's software was said to have affected 3000 computers across Australia and overseas. The virus is capable of launching further attacks on 74,000 computers.

Judge Paul Rice has remanded Harrison on continuing bail for sentencing submissions scheduled for September.
