Apple comes out with a 2.0.1 upgrade a few weeks after the company overhauled its Remote application for iOS devices. The update, which fixes a slew of bugs and performance problems, can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store for the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad.

Apple said that the update offers benefits such as:

  • Includes stability and performance improvements.
  • Improves performance using Remote on an iPhone when Bluetooth is enabled.
  • Addresses a problem browsing artists with a large number of albums.
  • Addresses some issues waking up computers when using Home Sharing.
  • Addresses some issues with connecting to an iTunes library or Apple TV when using Home Sharing or a Passcode.
  • Addresses some issues with connecting to a Wi-Fi network.

Apple has announced that it will be holding a press event on October 20. CEO Steve Jobs is expected to launch new products and solutions at the event.
