Like other leading brands, Motorola is also trying its best to roll out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to its numerous devices. According to Mobile Syrup, some of the Moto G 2013 users have received an official notification message from Motorola about the arrival of Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Mobile Syrup says that notification is seen with the title “Future updates.” It says that Motorola is currently readying the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade for Moto G 2013 users. Phone Arena says that the update is most likely to arrive in the forthcoming weeks.

The new notification from Motorola to Moto G 2013 owners states that if they do not confirm on the notification, they won’t be able to update their devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop. The message contains a “More info” button which when clicked will allow users to check whether the device has the latest edition of Motorola Update Services. If it is not present on the device, users will have to download the most recent version from the Google Play Store.

Phone Arena says that Motorola is in the process of updating all of its recent smartphones to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade. The only Motorola smartphone that is encountering some issue in receiving the update is Moto X 2013.

The International Business Times report published on Feb 15 states that the delay of Android 5.0 Lollipop for Moto X 2013 is probably because of the issue with the Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset. The Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for Moto E is around the corner as the soak test edition is already available for its users. It further states that some owners of Moto G 2013 have already updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Mobile Syrup says that even though the release of the Android 5.0 Lollipop for Moto G 2013 seems imminent; Motorola has not revealed any information on the time frame for the arrival of the upgrade. Motorola is also mum on the timeline for the arrival of the software update for Moto X 2013 and Moto E.
