The 52nd Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards on Sunday night was one of the most star-studded and power-packed shows in Hollywood. The event honoured the best in country music in 2016. Though you can take a look at the winners below, it is worth mentioning that the highlights of the three-hour show include some of the most awesome musical performances.

The event showcased the best of the music industry with an array of 25 acts, including the nostalgic The Backstreet Boys. The boyband of yesteryear belted out "God, Your Mama and Me” with Florida Georgia Line. However, they blew the minds of the audience when they performed "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)," complete with the song's original choreography.

Other highlights of the ACM Awards were Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban, who performed a spectacular version of their duet “The Fighter.” Their Sunday night performance in Las Vegas came weeks after the two teamed up at the Grammys in February. Urban also gave a solo performance of his single “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” which was nominated for Single Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Urban lost to Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett in both these categories, respectively.

The night kicked off when Entertainer of the Year winner Jason Aldean performed a medley of all nominated songs. Other performers who sang on stage include Luke Bryan with his song with "Move," Florida Georgia Line with "H.O.L.Y.," Carrie Underwood with "Church Bells" and Keith Urban with "Wasted Time."

Singer Sam Hunt performed "Body Like a Back Road," Dierks Bentley sang "Black," and later returned to team up with Cole Swindell for a duet on "Flatliner." New female vocalist of the year winner Maren Morris sang "I Could Use a Love Song," while female vocalist and album of the year winner Miranda Lambert sang "Tin Man."

There were many songs performed for the first time at the ACM Awards. Chris Stapleton debuted a new song called "Second One to Know” with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, who unraveled their new duet "Speak to a Girl." Old Dominion also revealed their new single "No Such Thing as a Broken Heart.” Meanwhile, check out the list of winners according to the official website below:
