Google Inc's YouTube said on June 17, 2014 that it plans to launch a paid streaming music service, amid criticism that its existing, free video website might block the music videos of labels that do not agree to its terms. YouTube has partnered with "hundreds of major and independent" music labels for the new service, the company said in a statement, confirming long-running rumors that the world's most popular online video website will offer a paid music service. Known for his Let’s Play videos and his hilarious side comments, PewDiePie is currently one of the most watched people on YouTube. His videos usually get more than a million views upon release, due to the fact that the man has over 34.8 million subscribers to his YouTube channel. Now the Internet celebrity is bound to get his own video game in “PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist.”

The game is a 2D platformer with detailed 16 bit graphics and has the player controlling PewDiePie and his dogs as they go around the world for reasons that have yet to be revealed. PewDiePie previewed “Legend of the Brofist” in one of his YouTube videos, using his trademark snark and shouts as he struggles through one of the levels shown. The video can be seen below.

In addition to playing as PewDiePie, Pocket Gamer has confirmed that players will be able to switch to his partner CutiePie in the game as well. It’s currently unsure if the characters have any abilities different from each other, though the video blogger promised more updates in the coming months. Other YouTube users involved in the game include CinnamonToastKen, JackSepticEye, and Markiplier, though what there roles are isn’t quite clear yet.

Enemies in the game feature standard enemies in most platformers like penguins and wolves, though the dreaded Illuminati also make an appearance in the game. Players can deal with these enemies by simply jumping on them, but will also have a number of abilities they can use to their advantage, like the “Brofist,” which clears the entire screen of enemies, as seen at the end of the video.

“PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist” is currently being developed by independent game studio Outerminds. The studios’ site is currently taking questions for the game, so anyone curious about the game’s progress should ask their questions there.

Fans of the avid gamer and vlogger can expect the game to come out this summer, though a clear release date hasn’t been given yet. The game is set to come out on iOS and Android devices, though given his love for PC games, it wouldn’t be surprising to see “PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist” eventually make its way there.
