“The Young and the Restless” episode this coming June 22 concentrates on Victor’s impending divorce.

It is revealed that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) already came to the point of giving up on her husband Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Throughout their 36 years of marriage, they have always been on an on-and-off type of relationship. Now, Nikki is prepared to leave him for good, unless Victor changes and drops his vengeful streak for their children, Soap Opera Spy writes.

The final stages of their divorce are fast approaching. However, Nikki is still open-heartedly willing to give her husband one more chance for their relationship to work out. But this entails Victor imposing major changes on his self. To begin with, he should be able to give his family unconditional love. Fans and viewers alike know that Victor is not the kind of person who gives this kind of love. For him, it is always his way or none.

There is still hope in Nikki for the possible change in Victor’s character. However, he sees thing differently as he still feels the pain of betrayal coming from his family, who all testified against him and became the cause of his stay in prison.

It is a question on who will win the case or maybe both of them will end up as losers. There are speculations that Nikki will withdraw her case if Victor will show any kind of sign that he is prepared to make amends with his family, especially to Victoria (Amelia Heinle). There are also rumours that Victor is working with a mystery woman. Viewers reach the peak of their curiosity if his plans work or not. However, speculations say that it is becoming risky.

Another teaser for the episode is that Victoria will be taken off guard by a crisis, Soaps She Knows says. It is unknown if this crisis has something to do with her mother and father’s divorce case or by another factor, like their company’s oil crisis situation. Another possible crisis may have something to do with her lover, Travis (Michael Roark). Last episode, she was seen giving him a surprise visit in his place of work. They were discussing something and it seemed urgent.

“The Young and the Restless” airs on CBS every 12:30 p.m. on weekdays.
