The usual captivating drama with which “The Young and the Restless” has always had its fans engaged awaits the audience for the episode to be aired on Thursday. For one, Adam and Chelsea’s relationship is put to the test while Kevin and Mariah receive shocking news.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “The Young and the Restless” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the new episode airs.

For the July 28 episode, Soaps She Knows says that Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) finally decides to pull away from Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) following the heavy drama the two had been going through. Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), on the other hand, are about to be shocked with some unexpected news. Things also get a little frustrating when Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) decides to sugarcoat the situation and hide something from Abby Rayburn (Melissa Ordway).

A more detailed analysis in a post by Celebrity Dirty Laundry says that Adam might just push Chelsea for a divorce. This disagreement stemmed from a long running feud over whether their son Connor should visit his father in prison. Anita Lawson (Catherin Bach) would also agree that the couple’s relationship is practically over.

What Adam actually thinks is that he already is a burden to Chelsea and that it is an unselfish act for him to let his wife go. This, however, is actually going to rip Chelsea apart.

She might just realise that she cannot just live with a husband who refuses to recognize his own family. Regardless of how the confrontation turns out on the episode, Chelsea and Adam are both headed for more and more drama as the show progresses.

It is also reported that the “Young and the Restless” plans to keep Justin Hartley for a while since he will be starring in “This is Us” on NBC. While he will be seen on fewer scenes, he will still remain part of the show.

“The Young and the Restless” airs on CBS every Monday to Friday in the US. It also airs on Arena in Australia.
