“The Young and the Restless” will be kicking off this New Year will lots of typical drama that fans would expect. From a secret identity to concealed truths, there are a lot of new details that will be shown that viewers should watch out for.

Sources reveal that on January 2 , Reed will reveal that he wants to stay. Devon will get rushed to the hospital.

Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) and Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton) will go over the file on his new identity as Derek Young. Dylan will give her assurance that he is ready for all he is about to go through. Chris will give him a firearm. Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), who happens to be Dylan’s sole contact, enters. They will brief him on how to use his recorder and will get close to the gatekeeper , reveals Soaps She Knows.

Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will get asked by Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) how things went the previous night. Mariah replies and tries to distract Sharon at the same time, who looks up an event online. Sharon will learn that it is Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) who tripped her. From this point, things get messy in Sharon’s place.

Hilary will awaken in her sleep and will realize that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is not home yet. Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) will arrive to speak to his son, while Hilary will pretend that everything is okay in the penthouse. However, Neil will get persistent to see Devon until Hilary gives in and will admit that he has not come home. Later on, Devon is revealed in a crash site and he is unconscious. Police and paramedics surround the scene.

When Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) arrives at home, she will call Reed Hellstrom (Tristan Leabu). There, Reed will reveal that he wants to live with her. A debate will ensue about JT Hellstrom’s (Thad Luckinbill) plans to go to Warsaw for work and parental issues.

This upcoming episode of “The Young and the Restless” will air on January 2 in the US. It will also air on Arena in Australia.
