The baby drama goes on as the real parents and the prospective ones just would not let go of the little one easily. The situation continues to get more tense as it builds its grip around the residents of Genoa in “The Young and the Restless.”

Spoiler alert! This article contains “The Young and the Restless” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next episode airs.

On Friday December 2, Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) will tell Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) that filing for divorce against Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton) would be necessary. Dylan will update Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) on how the situation is going for Christian.

Soaps She Knows reveals that Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will realize that her mother and Dylan could be arrested if they are in Christian’s presence. Christian himself will face a crisis. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) starts to question Hilary Hamilton’s (Mishael Morgan) intentions. Meanwhile, Dylan will receive a surprise through Sharon.

As the battle for Christian works its way around the cast, it looks like Sharon and Dylan’s divorce will already be very close to happening. Sadly, it looks like this couple cares very little about their marriage as of the moment, since all they want for now is to get to be able to enjoy Christian’s presence.

Other spoilers also point out that the Ashby twins are at risk because of Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) painkiller addiction, which could later lead to an overdose. Cane first came in contact with those painkillers when he wanted to alleviate the pain caused by his knee surgery. However, things get twisted as one of them starts popping those pills in as if they were candy. How they manage and how far this will take them remains to be seen as events in the show unfold.

New head writer Sally Susman has also taken another angle at storytelling in “The Young and the Restless.” The imminent danger of drugs being left at home unsecured will be something that many audience members can relate to since it happens a lot.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays on CBS. It also airs on Arena in Australia.
