'The Young and the Restless' spoilers for Jan. 27, 2017: Sharon confronts a difficult truth; Eric Forrester reunites with former love Lauren

The plot continues to thicken on “The Young and the Restless.” However, the crew has managed to inject something that daytime soap fans would find delight in. It has been confirmed that on this upcoming episode, a well-loved character from “The Bold and the Beautiful” will be seen on the show.

Meanwhile, Neil expresses how proud he was of Lily’s new achievements.

For this coming episode, Sharon will confront a difficult reality. Spoilers reveal that Eric Forrester will come to town to meet up with his old flame, Lauren Fenmore. Other spoilers re veal that Dylan will go missing, Paul will set off to Miami and Reed will be mixing in with the wrong crowd at school. Meanwhile, Devon will change his mind on an important decision and Jack will make a shocking move.

The synopsis by Soaps She Knows confirms earlier rumours of John McCook from “The Bold and the Beautiful” guest starring on “The Young and the Restless.” Spoilers reveal that he will be seen on the show while still playing Eric Forrester as he joins former flame Lauren Fenmore for some business.

There is no news yet as to why Eric Forrester from “The Bold and the Beautiful” will be seen on the show. However, it is known that Eric and Lauren were lovebirds at one point. Also, Eric is the successful and seasoned head of the family-owned Forrester Creations. Since Lauren’s company Fenmore Enterprises appears to be falling apart, she might need some investors or some expert advise.

This episode of “The Young and the Restless” will air on CBS on Friday January 27 in the US. It will also air on Arena in Australia.
