'The Young and the Restless' spoilers for Jan. 18, 2017: Phyllis and Ashley confront each other; Hilary surprises Mariah; Lauren struggles to save her company

On this episode of “The Young and the Restless,” viewers are in for some intense confrontations and secrets as they struggle to unveil themselves. Something will brew between Phyllis Abbott (Gina Tognoni) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) while Lauren Baldwin (Tracey Bergman) will try desperately to hold on to her company.

On the episode that airs Wednesday January 18, Phyllis will cross Ashley. Meanwhile, Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) will surprise Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) with something.
Phyllis will come to realise that she plays a big part behind the earlier sabotage. She is very likely to pass the news to Lauren. While this happens , it will not be complete without a confrontation between her and Ashley.
She Knows Soaps writes that it looks like Phyllis will be doing something that will drive Ashley to her limits. They will have a heated argument after Ashley confronts Phyllis regarding her attitude. This could have something to do with the latter’s newest idea. She has been attempting to get in touch with Ravi, which Ashley does not seem to like at all.
As for Hilary, it looks like she has something up her sleeve for Mariah. These two have been going through a lot lately and it would be nice to see things ease up between them in the days to come. What this surprise is exactly and how it turns out remains to be seen.
As for Lauren, it looks like she will be on desperate mode trying to save her company. Spoilers reveal that she will be hoping to lock in on a new investor who happens to be her friend, Craig (Kristian Kordula). How this will turn out ultimately will be seen as events unfold in the show.
