'The Young and the Restless' spoilers for Jan 17, 2017: Sharon tries to get details about Dylan’s whereabouts; soap opens casting call for character with swag and appeal

In the Jan. 17 episode of “The Young and the Restless,” Sharon (Sharon Case) will try to ask for Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) help. Dylan (Steve Burton) will be threatened by a masked man with a gun.

Previously, Lily (Christel Khalil) returned to modeling. Jill (Judith Chapman) told Jack (Peter Bergman) that she will not forgive Hilary (Mishael Morgan). Devon (Bryton James) asked Hilary why she was not in the car with him. Meanwhile, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) found out about Billy (Jason Thompson).
On Tuesday’s episode, Nick and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will have an awkward encounter. Dylan will be cornered after a goon points a gun at him. Kevin will let Sharon know that he cannot help her. Victor (Eric Braeden) will bring his whole family together at The Top of the Tower.
Sharon will continue to be concerned about Dylan’s whereabouts. She will ask Kevin for details regarding his secret mission, but the latter will refuse to give her helpful information. Sharon will most likely resort to drastic measures in her quest to locate Dylan. She will turn out to be right, when Dylan meets a masked man who will threaten him with a gun.
Later in the week, SheKnowsSoaps says that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will cross Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Devon will find out about the truth. He will learn about his accident and issues with Hilary, which may create rift between them. He may even decide to leave Hilary permanently.
Steve Burton has also wrapped up his role as Dylan on “The Young and the Restless.” The character will be seen for the last time in January 2017, writes Soap Central. Y&R is currently casting an African-American male who is at least six feet tall, and in his early 30s, to play Ryder. The character is described as a photographer with a lot of style and sex appeal. Tristan Rogers will reprise his role as Colin Atkinson for four episodes. Tristan Lake Leabu has recently been cast to play Reed Hellstrom.
