Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) has been through a lot of drama lately; both the character and actor are facing issues that could affect how the show will run for the next few weeks. For the episode of the long running daytime CBS soap opera, things might take a drastic turn as a lot of unexpected events are bound to explode.

For the episode of “The Young and the Restless” that will air on Friday , August 26 , Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will make the ultimate sacrifice. The situation remains tough and viewers of the show will be equally torn when Summer Newman (Hunter King) will have to choose between Luca (Miles Villanueva) or her family. Lastly, Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will be going head on with an unexpected problem.

With regard to Victor’s situation, it has been earlier revealed that he never intended to have his son in prison. He only wanted to teach his son a lesson, when things got twisted and the Diary pages popped out, which led to Adam getting detained for real.

Now that this legal drama has been running for quite some time on the show and Victor has earlier pledged that he will do absolutely anything within his power to save his son, viewers will see exactly how far he will be willing to go when he makes the biggest sacrifice he can.

Justin Hartley will also be saying goodbye to the show for good , writes We Love Soaps. Hartley had already announced that he will be taking a break from the show due to his new show “This is Us.” This departure happens to be while his character is going through a lot of emotional hurdles. Whether or not this means Adam’s long disappearance from the show could also spell out some plot connections.

Summer, too, has to give out an ultimatum as her family and fiancé just cannot go with each other. Whether she picks love or family will be known when Friday’s episode airs.
