“Unravel” has a new trailer released by the developer Coldwood Interactive. The new trailer for the physics-based platformer depicts the protagonist named Yarny exploring the environment of Northern Sweden. Creative Director Martin Sahlin also highlights the different aspects of “Unravel” that include development, dialogue, locations and the environment.

Released via the official “Unravel” website, the trailer showcases breathtaking environments in the game. The developer gives further insights into why the game environment plays a significant role in “Unravel.”

“Unravel’s story uses very few words. It’s not so much told as it is there for you to discover. We want you to turn it into your own thing, to come up with your own ideas and interpretations,” said Sahlin in the official blog post.

Sahlin explains that all the locations available in the game are inspired by the lovely Swedish landscape. As the developer is based in Sweden, it is obvious that Coldwood Interactive is giving more attention Yarny's surroundings. Those unfamiliar should also note that Yarny is the game’s lead character and it is a made from a single thread of yarn.

Coldwood Interactive aims for the game to reflect the beauty of nature as part of its unifying theme. Tiny Yarny unlocks the beauty and wonders of nature on his adventurous journey throughout the different levels of the game.

In “Unravel,” players will control Yarny and they will be introduced to two different stories, one from the past and one from the present. The players will have to uncover the secrets, link the stories and collect the clues to solve the puzzle-like stories.

The developer suggests that during the gameplay, the players should explore the elaborate in-game level design. The levels are designed in a way that players will need to remember the details and to unlock other levels. According to the developer these levels are full of moments, sounds, locations and many other events.

Hardcore Gamer reported that fans can expect the launch of “Unravel” on Feb. 9, 2016 and the game will release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
