Xiaomi has unveiled its Redmi 4, Redmi 4A and Redmi 4 Prime smartphones after months of speculation and gossip. The three smartphones unveiled in fact tend to different user groups. Those who are looking to buy a smartphone in the affordable price segment but with top features and specs should try one of these.

Performance-wise Xiaomi has always awed tech enthusiasts with its affordable smartphones. It has never shied away from providing the best of features at unbelievable prices. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 has a 5-inch display with a 720p resolution. It has a 2.5D glass in the front and an accent on the primary camera, writes GSMArena.

It packs a punch with a Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB RAM and Adreno 505 GPU. The 13MP primary camera sits right at the centre of the rear and is dual-LED. The 5MP front snapper is also at the centre. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 has an expandable storage of 16GB and dual-SIM slot.

With Bluetooth 4.1 support, MIUI v.8 Android Marshmallow operating system and a powerful 4,100 mAh battery, the Redmi 4 is a sure buy for many. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A, on the other hand, is cheaper than the Redmi 4 and has a 5-inch IPS Display with a 720p resolution. It has a 2GB RAM, Snapdragon 425 chipset and Adreno 308 GPU.

The 13MP rear camera has a single LED flash and sits at the top left corner. The Redmi 4A also has a 5MP selfie camera, 16GB expandable storage and a 3,129 mAh battery. It runs on the same operating system as the Redmi 4, writes Gadgets 360.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime is a killer of a smartphone with a 5-inch IPS screen and 1080p display. It boasts of a 3GB RAM, 36GB expandable storage, Adreno 506 GPU and a powerful Snapdragon 625 processor. Both the rear and front cameras are the same as Redmi 4. The battery is a whopping 4,100 mAh and the smartphone comes with a fingerprint scanner.

While the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime will be available from Nov. 7, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A will reach the shelves on Nov. 11. The Redmi 4 will cost around ¥ 699 (AU$135), the Redmi 4A ¥ 499 (AU$97) and the Redmi 4 Prime ¥899 (AU$175).
