Microsoft has announced its next batch of free games for the Xbox July 2016 Games with Gold. The announcement follows some online leaks of the lineup from known tipster ekim who managed to get two of the titles correctly.

Over at Major Nelson’s blog, the four new games—two for the Xbox One and two for the Xbox 360, though the latter two are playable on the newer console with backward compatibility—have been revealed. For the Xbox One, “The Banner Saga” will be available for the entire month of July. The second free game “Tumblestone” can be downloaded from July 16 to Aug. 15.

Xbox Live Gold members who are playing on the Xbox 360 can get “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2” for the first half of July. “TRON: Evolution” will be out from July 16 to 30. The video featured below shows some scenes from the four games.

The Xbox July Games with Gold is part of the monthly promo for Xbox Live Gold members. So for those who want to take advantage of these free games may want to get a subscription this month.

Xbox Scorpio, Xbox One S are responses to community feedback

The Xbox Scorpio and the Xbox One S have received attention since they were touched on and unveiled respectively at the E3 2016 event. However, while the very diverse choices of consoles may seem like a little jarring to a gamer, Microsoft revealed that this is far from what the company is trying to do.

In fact, according to Microsoft’s Head of Publishing Shannon Loftis, the community members were the one who asked to have more options when it comes to their console devices, according to an exclusive with the Associated Press.

“We’re trying to shift the culture and put the power of when to upgrade in the hands of gamers, as opposed to it being driven by technology or a corporate initiative,” said Shannon to Associated Press.

With Nintendo NX currently in development with the promise of bigger technologies and experiences to come, it may not be that much of a surprise that both Microsoft and Sony are also ensuring their best bets and choices for the different gamers.
