Tokyo Game Show 2014 became a hotspot for Xbox One fans to come check out what's up and coming for Microsoft's next-gen game. And they were treated to hands-on experience and new announcements regarding some exclusive titles that are set to debut on the Xbox One.

The first is "Killer Instinct Season 2," which had its second character revealed, Maya, the monster hunter. Announced over at the Xbox Wire and seen in the video for fans who weren't able to check out the TGS 2014, Maya is a powerful character whose blocking moves with her ancient daggers makes all the more powerful.

"Killer Instinct Season 2" is headed for the Xbox One on Oct. 15 but Microsoft is already giving fans an earlier choice for those who can't wait to play the game. "Killer Instinct: Season 1" will debut on retail as early as Sept. 23, but there's also a pre-purchase of "Killer Instinct: Season 2 Ultra Edition." This brings instant access to TJ Combo, another character and you can access the full version of "Killer Instinct 2 Classic" three weeks before Season 2 launches.

Then on the release date, "Killer Instinct 2: Season 2" will arrive with a new interface and eight more fighters, which will be added once following launch.

The Mystery of 'Scalebound'

Platinum Games has been working on "Scalebound," which is dubbed to be an action-adventure title heading to the Xbox One as an exclusive. However, it seems that fans of the title can expect it to be a little easier than previous games of the studio.

Speaking with IGN, game director Hideki Kamiya said that having a high set of skills may not necessarily be that much of a requirement to complete "Scalebound." In the game, mastery of the game may not be the same as the studio's past games like "Devil May Cry," but Kamiya does hint that they may have gotten creative when it comes to the battles in "Scalebound."

'D4' From Swery65

Planned release dates are not the only ones that have been announced for the Xbox One. In a surprise move, a new game has been announced to launch as an Xbox One exclusive from Hidetaka "Swery65" Suehiro.

Called "D4," which is shorthand for "Dark Dreams Don't Die," the game has already been in production for a year as it made its announcement in E3, reports GameSpot. The game is focused on solving a murder investigation, though it's not without its quirks.

The title is set to release in an episodic manner, with the launch bringing in a prologue, and episodes one and two. Post-launch, two more episodes wand some in-game costumes will be released.
