Microsoft may not have released an Xbox One System Updates for players in December, but that does not mean that the updates have already stopped. It appears that game developers have received the December SDK Update, which enhances a number of performance issues.

In an interview with GamingBolt, Techland game designer Maciej Binkowski revealed that their latest creation, "Dying Light" has its performance boosted to 1080p and 30FPS on the Xbox One, which puts it at par with the PS4 version. And this was due to the latest update, which allows for better tools and the expansion of what can be done with the ESRAM.

"We were using the latest version just prior to the new release that came out on Dec. 12th. In terms of advantages, the main thing is just how much the ESRAM control has improved, said Binkowski in a statement to GamingBolt.

The improvement of the SDK with the latest Xbox One December update for developers is reported to allow improved performance and the debugging of the code for a lot of big-name games. In the future, it may even help the Xbox One catch up in terms of performance with the PS4, which seemed to have been one step ahead in this aspect.

'Evolve' Beta Dated

For fans who may have missed out on the announcement, the Xbox One beta for "Evolve" is already scheduled to start on Jan. 15. The "Evolve" Hunt game mode will be made available during the Xbox One Open Beta. There will be two monsters and eight hunters accessible to the player, as well as 12 maps that are supported by the game mode.

But the developers are readying fans for more, as Jan. 17 is also a date to ark for those who want to get exclusive access to Evacuation, the dynamic campaign of the title. What this pertains to is the combination of maps and modes that let you experience them differently with each time you play.

Perhaps the best part of the Open Beta is that all of the Hunters and Monsters that you unlock while playing the open beta will already be carried over to the full game once you purchase for your Xbox One.

Those with an Xbox On and an Xbox Live Gold account can experience the Open Beta on Jan. 17. But afterwards, PC and PS4 players also have a shot at participating in the Open Beta. However, this will be on a smaller scale meant for those who have already participated in the Big Alpha. PC players can start on Jan. 16 while PS4 players can start on Jan. 17.

Hints of Psycho-Pass Localization Spotted

In 2015, the Xbox One is said to be looking forward to a number of Japanese exclusive titles so it can go toe-to-toe with the PS4 in terms of the range of its games. And one possible title that English-speaking fans may look forward to is the possible "Psycho-Pass" localization.

DualShockers spotted a new "Psycho-Pass" website, and what's more, it has an English version. This also revealed the subtitled of the upcoming exclusive to be "Mandatory Happiness." Of course, this has sprouted some discussion of whether or not it can lead to an English localization of the title.

The source adds that "Psycho-Pass" is supposed to be one of the exclusives in Japan to further propel the Xbox One into the consciousness of the residents there. For now, there are no official announcements from creator Mages. and 5pb., but if this becomes a hit in Japan, it's very likely that a North American and European release will be coming in the future.
