Week 12 of “The X Factor USA” features the Top 12 finalists, now known as the Top 13 with the wild card twist in play. And as the thirteen hopefuls sang for the second night for America’s vote, some have come out with impressive performance while others have been ranked as the least favorite to get through to the next round.

According to Carter Matt, Carlos Guevara, Khaya Cohen and Jeff Gutt are the three of the thirteen contestants who are likely to be voted off when the fourth act - - since live performances began from Top Final 16 - - is eliminated this week.

There’s only one reason why a contestant in a reality singing competition stays to advance for rounds after rounds and gets booted off - - his or her voice. Guevara, Cohen and Gutt share one thing in common why they are in danger to be sent home this week - - poor vocals for their songs for America’s vote.

But other factors that are seen as primary reasons why they will likely get the boot.

Khaya Cohen
Carter Matt described Khaya Cohen as having performed likely better than other female acts on Motown week. But among the three on the bottom part of the totempole, Cohen is feared to be the most forgettable one. While she delivered and made an impressive rendition of “My Girl” by The Temptations, critics claim it is not enough to save her at the end of the day.

Carlos Guevara
He is described as one among the nicest guys among his peers, according to Carter Matt. But being a nice one is not enough to make it in the music world. Either his choice to sing “What’s Going On” by Marvin Gaye is not the right one to show off his vocals or the quality of his voice is below par when compared to other hopefuls.

Jeff Gutt
Of the three listed contestants in this feature, Jeff Gutt may still have a chance to advance to the next round. Given the fact that this is his second try on “The X Factor USA” as he tried to audition last season but only failed to impress the judges to advance to the live performances. The dad from Detroit did not make it past the second round last year.

Carter Matt also claims that capitalizing on his cute little girl may not be working for Gutt. The news outlet also finds that the hopeful, who is under Kelly Rowland’s mentorship, may not be able to impress younger audience as the latter may not be familiar with his choices of songs.

Gutt sang “Say You Say Me” by Lionel Richie on the first night this week. He performed “Try” by Pink on the second night.

Khaya Cohen, Carlos Guevara and Jeff Gutt are battling against ten others on week 13 of “The X Factor USA” 2013.
