Caroline Flack’s absence from the “X-Factor” show in the coming weekend is said to be already anticipated after the presenter has fallen ill with the flu. However, a spokesperson denied speculations that Flack will not be able to host the live shows on Saturday.

Flack’s spokesperson told Mirror UK that the speculations are not true. Despite Flack mentioning on her Instagram account that she is ill, her representative said that she is well enough to host the “X-Factor.”

“I can confirm Caroline is absolutely fine and will be honouring her commitments to The X Factor this weekend. She is currently signing books today,” the spokesperson said, referring to the host’s book signing commitments for her autobiography “Storm in a C Cup” in Kent.

A source for The Sun said that Flack has not been feeling well this week. However, the source claimed that the 35-year-old is currently trying to get enough rest so she can host the first “X-Factor” live shows this weekend.

“She has been resting at home and doing everything she possibly can to recover in time to make it on stage with Olly on Saturday night,” the source told The Sun.

Flack reportedly had fans in frenzy when she took to her Instagram page on Tuesday to tell her followers that she is not feeling well. She shared a photo of herself sans makeup and looking a little sick. She captioned the shot with, “Massive fluey shout out to @thewhitmore for her launch tonight! Sorry I can't be there.... He's me in my fave Daisy necklace for you Laura !! You are LOVELY.”

Speculations that Flack won’t be co-hosting the “X-Factor” live shows with Olly Murs on Saturday reportedly also started when viewers noticed her lack of air time for the past weeks. Her spokesperson told Mirror UK that Flack only appeared briefly in the six chair challenge. She was reportedly missing for the most part of the challenge because of her commitments to another show. The spokesperson said she was filming her winners dance for “Strictly Come Dancing.”

“We had agreed in advance that she would be able to do this,” Flack’s spokesperson told Mirror UK.
