The top nine are getting pretty nervous on the upcoming episode of "X Factor" Australia 2016, and they have two good reasons to be on the edge.

Apart from the fact that it’s going to be the first live episode this season, the underdogs are coming with their full battle gear on. The reality singing competition is putting much hype on the arrival of Mel B, who chooses among those who got eliminated by her fellow judges Guy Sebastian, Adam Lambert, and her fiercest competitor, Iggy Azalea.

The three judges have already taken their pick from this year’s contenders. Adam, with his category of Under 22s, chose Natalie Ong, Amalia and Isaiah Firebrace. Guy’s Over 22s team, on the other hand, is composed of Davey Woder, Chynna Taylor and Timmy Knowles. Iggy is hell bent to have the first group “X Factor” Australia winner and is betting on Brentwood, Montage and Time and Place.

While the top nine are still heady over bagging a spot in the competition, they admitted that they’re nervous about the arrival of the underdogs. “No matter who they choose from that three chair challenge, they’re going to be massive competition,” Timmy said in a video clip posted by “X Factor” Australia on its Facebook page. The brother-and-sister duo, on the other hand, revealed that they feel slightly threatened by how good the underdogs are going to be.

Girl group Montage, who managed to take the spot of another girl trio called Beatz, shared why the underdogs are a big threat. “Underdogs are going to be the most hardworking category,” they reveal. “They’re going to try their hardest to prove themselves.” [READ: “Groups take on the three seat challenge; Brentwood, Montage and Time and Place are Iggy Azalea’s top three”]

However, 15-year-old student Natalie knows where her priorities should lie amid the fierce competition. “It’s going to be a very big twist but we’re just going to concentrate on ourselves and just do our best and that’s all we can do,” the Singapore-borne singer said. Natalie’s confidence may be stemming from her astounding performance during the Adam’s three chair challenge aired on Oct. 16. Adam was so impressed with her rendition of Etta James’ “I’d Rather Go Blind,” he threw a shoe, which he said was his way of giving his utmost approval.

The girl with the big voice earlier set the “X Factor” Australia stage on fire when she sang Christina Aguilera’s powerful ballad “The Voice Within.” The video of her performance has gone viral, generating more than 250,000 views to date.

In another video posted by “X Factor” Australia on its Facebook page, Natalie’s mentor, Adam, said that he’s excited for Sunday’s live episode. He shared that it would be the first time that he’s going to get to know his team and work with them. “I’m so impressed by how talented they are,” he gushed. Adam added that he’s also getting ready for Mel B’s arrival and is curious how she “shakes things up on the panel.”

The “American Idol” runner-up claimed it would be interesting to see whether she and Iggy get along. “Two strong women… it’s going to be an adventure,” he said, followed by a laugh. He then added that he and Guy would just be in the sidelines, either “egging them on or diffusing the tension.” Iggy earlier admitted that if Mel B wins, she “would never sleep at night.”
