It seems young crooner Isaiah Firebrace wasn’t the only one who wowed fans of “X Factor Australia” 2016. Avid watchers of the hit reality show appeared to be so impressed with his mentor, Adam Lambert, they want him back in next year’s panel.

On Nov. 21, Isaiah was catapulted to victory, besting three other finalists in the epic grand finals: runner-up Davey Woder, followed by Vlado Saric and Amalia Foy. Apart from the 17-year-old singer’s undeniable talent and charm, followers of “X Factor Australia” credit his win to Adam, who’s mostly responsible about his looks and song choices.

This is the first time that Adam has been chosen as judge and mentor in “X Factor Australia,” although he has performed as guest star in 2015. The “American Idol” runner-up’s experience in a TV singing competition may have helped him produce stellar acts – he’s the only judge this year with two representatives in his Under 22s category.

In an interview with the show’s official site, Adam expressed his excitement over mentoring budding musicians. “The part that I'm most looking forward to is trying to just assist somebody on their path to get where they want to go,” he said. “I think sometimes it's that one piece of advice, that one adjustment you can make to a performance that makes it click and makes it come together and I'm really excited to be able to offer anything to my team, whoever that ends up being.”

He also reckoned that experimentation is what leads to magical moments. “I think as a mentor I'm going to encourage artists to step out of their comfort zones and take chances,” Adam added. On the show’s official Facebook page, “X Factor Australia” fans showered Adam with praises.

A fan named Vicki Fraser wrote, “[W]ell done Adam come back again thought you were a great mentor.” Another, Lyn Keen had this to say: “Congrats to Adam for being a great mentor! Hope you come back again as we have enjoyed your company and you should be very proud of yourself!” Sylvia Rajic commented, “And congrats to Adam you are amazing. I knew you will be a great mentor having been there yourself.” Fan Annete Marie Nikki Williams wrote, “Please keep Adam Lambert as a judge forever.”

It certainly would be interesting whether Adam would be signed up once again as judge, alongside Iggy Azalea, Guy Sebastian and Mel B. Meanwhile, Isaiah will be releasing his self-titled album under Sony Music Australia on Dec. 9. The much-awaited record includes his brand new single “It’s Gotta Be You,” which is out now on iTunes AU and Spotify, as well as studio versions of the songs that he performed on “X Factor Australia.”
