WWE WrestleMania 33 is less than two weeks away and several reports suggest that the pay-per-view event will finish with Roman Reigns retiring the Undertaker. Though previous reports claimed that Brock Lesnar vs Bill Goldberg will main event the show, the WWE has reportedly made a minor change to its plan.

WWE Kids Magazine has speculated that the Undertaker will likely retire at the end of the Apr. 2 event, according to Give Me Sport. "Undertaker – Could it be his last ‘Mania? We expect an entrance that’s phenom-enal." Last week, Reigns told WWE legend Shawn Michaels during an in-ring interaction that he will be "the one" to retire The Undertaker and anoint himself as the new king of the yard. “I appreciate the advice, but with all due respect, The Undertaker retired you (Shawn Michaels), and I’m the guy that is going to retire him," Reigns said during last week's edition of Monday Night Raw. In previous years, there were similar reports of The Undertaker's retirement. However, the 51-year-old has returned season after season for WWE's annual showpiece. Prior to the the Undertaker vs Roman Reigns match getting finalised for this year's event, there were reports of John Cena retiring The Phenom. A little later, it was revealed that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has for long viewed Reigns as the superstar to retire The Undertaker in a "passing-of-the-torch" moment that will help elevate the former Shield member.

WWE WrestleMania: Roman Reigns to win, per latest betting odds

According to Bet Wrestling, Reigns is currently a 8/13 odds-on favourite to beat the Undertaker at WrestleMania 33. There's also speculation that Reigns will make a "heel turn" (turn into an evil character) at the end of the event, which could help pacify the crowd that is expected to be pro-Undertaker.

This Fansided writer believes that WWE has no option but to turn Reigns into a villian at WrestleMania 33. "WWE booking the Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 in each character’s current form presents a substantial issue. Reigns going over still as a babyface is going to bring out flocks of boo-birds by the thousands. Therefore, WWE is essentially left with the unwieldy task of finding a way around that predicament. While they could ultimately opt for some sort of schmoz finish with interference and whatever else, they’ve at least cracked the door that leads to a Roman Reigns heel turn in Orlando."

WWE WrestleMania 33 will emanate from the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, on April 2. The event will feature other high profile matches such as John Cena & Nikki Bella vs the Miz & Maryse, Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton, Seth Rollins vs Triple H and Shane McMahon vs AJ Styles, besides others.
